## Enhanced tax-and-discount handling for your ShopConnect integration ensures more accurate sales postings from Mindbody to Shopify with fewer errors.

Please note that the following applies exclusively to sales originating in Mindbody, not Shopify.

**Overview**

ShopConnect, **as of version 2.9**, introduces significant enhancements to how sales **from** **Mindbody** are processed and synced into **Shopify**, with a focus on handling both t**ax-inclusive pricing (such as VAT)** and **traditional sales tax models**. These updates ensure pricing accuracy, even when real-time adjustments are made during the sale.

   
**How It Works**

In many retail environments, taxes may be included in the price (common in VAT regions) or added at checkout (common in the U.S. and Canada). ShopConnect now intelligently handles both cases by adjusting how sales are interpreted and posted in Shopify—**minimizing discrepancies** between systems.

These improvements apply whether the item’s price is modified, discounted, or taxed differently at the time of sale in Mindbody.
